Dr. Vinod Raina stands as one of India’s leading Medical Oncologists, boasting over 40 years of experience in the field. Dr. Raina, a highly regarded expert, previously held the position of Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. His specialization includes treating a variety of cancers such as breast, lung, gastrointestinal, urological, gynecological cancers, lymphomas, and myelomas.
With an impressive track record, Dr. Raina has personally conducted around 400 bone marrow and stem cell transplants for cancer patients. His extensive research experience includes being the Principal Investigator for nearly 50 projects during his 24-year tenure at AIIMS. Additionally, he co-founded the INDOX network, significantly contributing to the field of oncology research.
Dr. Raina has also played a crucial role in mentoring nearly 70 residents and DM students at AIIMS, many of whom now hold prominent positions both in India and internationally. In 2013, he joined Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) as Director and Head of Medical Oncology and Haematology. His leadership skills led to his promotion to Executive Director in 2017, and by January 2020, he was appointed Chairperson of Oncosciences at Fortis Healthcare.
