About Dr. Rahul Bhargava

• Dr. Rahul Bhargava embarked on his stem cell transplant career at Medanta in 2010 and has since completed over 1,500 transplants. He has played a pivotal role in setting up ten affordable treatment centers across India, including locations such as Sarvodaya Hospital and Batra Hospital. With a commitment to eradicating anemia and thalassemia in India, Dr. Bhargava collaborates with government initiatives to offer cost-effective bone marrow transplant (BMT) services.
• Dr. Bhargava's vision of an integrated center of excellence for hematology and stem cell transplants has been realized at Fortis Memorial Research Institute. In 2016, he achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian physician to perform and promote stem cell transplants for multiple sclerosis. Recognized as one of the leading stem cell transplant experts in Delhi and Gurgaon, Dr. Bhargava has a profound impact on community hematology. In 2018, he screened over 500 children in schools across Haryana and surrounding regions.
• To date, Dr. Bhargava has conducted more than 1,000 continuing medical education (CME) sessions, reflecting his dedication to advancing knowledge in his field. His active community engagement and efforts in raising awareness about blood disorders have established him as one of the top hematologists in Delhi and Gurgaon. Before joining Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon, Dr. Bhargava worked at Medanta Medicity Hospital and Artemis Hospital, specializing in bone marrow transplants and hematology. He has a distinguished track record, with over 1,000 successful bone marrow transplants performed in North India alone.
