About Dr. E Ravindra Mohan

• Dr. Ravindra Mohan earned his MBBS from the highly respected All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He pursued specialized training in Ophthalmology at During his training, Dr. Mohan demonstrated strong leadership abilities, holding key roles such as Vice-President and President of the Student’s Union, as well as Joint Secretary and Secretary of the Ophthalmic Research Association. Following his residency, he served for three years as a Senior Resident specializing in Oculoplastic, Orbital Surgery, and Pediatric Ophthalmology.
• In May 1998, Dr. Mohan successfully cleared the Fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, focusing on Ophthalmology. He joined Sankara Nethralaya as a consultant in October 1998, where he quickly rose to leadership positions. By April 2005, he was appointed Head of the Department and Director of Oculoplastic, Orbital Surgery, and Trauma. In August 2005, he was also honored with a Visiting Professorship in Ophthalmology at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai.
• Dr. Mohan left Sankara Nethralaya in May 2009 to establish the Trinethra Eye Clinic in Chennai, which offers top-tier Oculoplastic services. He continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant and Oculoplastic Surgeon in multiple hospitals across India, contributing his expertise to various healthcare institutions.
