About Dr. Dipanjan Panda

• Dr. Dipanjan Panda is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. Prior to joining Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, he served as the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), an autonomous super-specialty institute under the Government of NCT of Delhi.
• Dr. Panda completed his oncology training at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, a leading medical institution in the region. Following his fellowship (DM) in medical oncology, he undertook a post-doctoral research fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts, USA, before returning to India to continue his academic and clinical career.
• At the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, which he joined in 2011, Dr. Panda played a pivotal role in establishing the medical oncology department. He also pioneered the creation of the first dedicated Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Oncology unit in India and initiated a specialized PDCC course in HPB oncology.
• Dr. Panda is a distinguished clinician and dedicated academician, with around 20 publications in various peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has presented numerous lectures at both national and international conferences. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the European Society of Medical Oncology, and serves as a reviewer for Hepatology International.
