About Dr. B.S.V. Raju

Dr. B.S.V. Raju is among the select few spine surgeons in the country who hold dual expertise in both orthopedic and neurosurgical disciplines. With nearly three decades of dedicated experience in spine surgery, he stands out as the only spine surgeon in the state with over two years of clinical spine fellowship training in the USA. His career began at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, where he served as a faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery from July 1996 to June 2001. Later, from July 2003 to October 2007, he held the position of Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon at Yashoda Hospitals in Somajiguda, Hyderabad. Since October 2007, Dr. Raju has been a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon at Aster Prime Hospitals, Hyderabad.
Dr. Raju has had the honor of working with globally renowned neurosurgeon Prof. Setty Rangachary, gaining invaluable insights during his time. His advanced training at Stanford University under Prof. Daniel Kim equipped him with expertise in cutting-edge surgical techniques, including minimally invasive spine surgeries, endoscopic spine surgery
