About Dr. Anil Kansal

Dr. Anil Kansal is a distinguished neurosurgeon with over two decades of experience in the field Kansal is renowned for his expertise in treating disorders of the brain, nervous system, meninges, skull, pituitary gland, spinal cord, vertebral column, and cranial and spinal nerves.
Dr. Kansal employs advanced techniques, including minimally invasive surgery and various neuroradiology imaging methods such as CT, MRI, PET, and MEG, to provide precise and effective treatments.
Before his tenure at Max Hospital, he held the position of Director and Head of Department at Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh. His previous roles include serving as a Consultant Spine and Neurosurgeon at VIMHANS, an Associate Consultant Neurosurgeon at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, and former Head of Neurosurgery at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital.
He earned his MBBS in 1994, followed by an M.S. in General Surgery from KGMC in 1997, and an M.Ch. in Neurosurgery from KGMC in 2001. Dr. Kansal has also pursued specialized training, including endoscopic surgery training from Prof. M.R. Ghab (Germany) and Prof. M. Hussain, a Fellowship in Advanced Spinal Surgery from Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, South Korea, and Minimal Access Spine Technique (MAST) Training in Singapore. Additionally, he completed a Fellowship in Advanced Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery in Freiburg, Germany.
His comprehensive study of DSA and MRA for intracranial vascular lesions underscores his commitment to advancing neurosurgical techniques. Dr. Kansal is an active member of the Delhi Spine Society, DNA, and the Neurological Society of India, with a particular focus on spine surgery.
